Sorry for my ignorance, but what does this mean exactly? Our footnotes have to be:
A1
A2
etc?

The source code shows that the id attribute in your example is just a number.
According to the w3.org they have to start with a letter.

http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/types.html#type-name
“ID and NAME tokens must begin with a letter ([A-Za-z]) and may be followed by any number of letters, digits ([0-9]), hyphens (“-”), underscores (“_”), colons (“:”), and periods (“.”).”

I have a typepad blog and am trying to figure out how to get a 404 page for it, doesn’t look possible. WordPress allows you to easily customize one, look for 404 template. Thanks!
