Annoying things about WordPress: Snap Shots of links
I guess some people think they are really cool – I dislike them intensely: The snap shots of links, that brings up a small window showing how the page/site you are linking too looks like. I admit, it can be useful, but if your post is splattered with links, then moving my cursor over your site makes windows pop up all over. Nothing could be more annoying to me. How can read your post with all the links popping up?

Besides, why do I need to look at the link before going there? Yes, it may be useful, but I don’t think so.
What I don’t like in particular is that WordPress enables the Snap Shots by default; you have to disable them manually. In my mind it should be the other way round, you should have to enable all extras yourself, instead of having to turn off all whimsy gadetry. Just my two cents.
To turn it off, go to Design and Extras. That’s where they’ve hidden this function. It took me a while to find that…

I think their main use is when you’re linking to a video site like youtube. They enable visitors to watch the video (in miniature, admittedly) without leaving your site. It would be nice to be able to choose which links to enable them for. BTW, nice site.
